Canoeing Adventure

Activity.... Canoeing - Canoeing is a skill based activity for the purpose of recreation (also called a float trip), sport. It usually refers exclusively to using a paddle to propel a canoe with only human muscle power. One gets to canoe his/her way around Indrayani River.

Activity: Trek to Visapur - Visapur. It is 3500 feet high and situated between Lohagad and Bedse Caves. A huge cannon (almost 10 feet long) on Visapur is very vital as it has an impression of royal crown. One can see Purandar on south-east. Sinhagad as well as Tung and Tikona can also be clearly seen. Both these forts are of Satwahan Era and of great importance in Shivaji's period as to keep watch on Konkan and Bor Ghat. These two forts are historically very crucial and must be visited by trek lovers and history lovers.

Activity: Trek to Lohagad Fort - With a 2000 year old history and at 3400 ft high, Lohagad one of the magestic forts in the region. The climb to the fort takes you to panoramic vantage points, huge balconies, doors and reminds you how important this place was which was used to defend freedom. There are 4 doors to Lohagad from the nearby village -Lohgadwadi. i.e. 'Ganesh Darwaja' , 'Narayan Darwaja' , 'Hanuman Darwaja' and 'Maha Darwaja'. Some sculptures can also be seen on Maha Darwaja. Surrounded by lakes on all side the views from the fort are breathtaking specially from vinchu kata (Scorpion's tail). The famous spot on Lohagad is 'Vinchu Kata' - a range of hills that looks like Capricorn.

Activity.... Trek to Mahuli - Mahuli is one among the challenging regions of the majestic Sahyadris, and it is the highest point in the Thane district. Adorned with fabulous hill forts and peaks, Mahuli is one among the favourite place of trekkers. Like all other hilly areas of Sahyadris, Mahuli is also surrounded by luxurious thick forest, and the forest around this hilly place is declared as a national reserve.

Trek to Naneghat

Activity.... Trek to Naneghat Caves - Nane Ghat is situated at about 55 Km from Kalyan. One can reach the base village Vaishakare by boarding the state transport bus passing through Malshej Ghat. From Vaishakare it's about 1/2 a hour walk along the road to Malshej Ghat to reach the divergence for Nane Ghat. Now there is board indicating the divergence so there will be no difficulty in finding the divergence. Once a divergence is taken, it is about 2-3 hours climb to the summit.

Activity: Trek + Camping  + Valley Crossing at Peb Fort. Peb Fort is situated on northeast side of Panvel, at a distance of 3-4 km on west side of Neral. This is the most beautiful one-day trek, with a dense forest on the way to the fort. Sometimes one needs to lietrally find their way through to the top in the dense forest. It takes around 4 hrs to reach the cave under the fort. The actual fort is above a cave, which is difficult to climb. From Peb, it takes another 2 hrs to descend to the nearest road-head. It’s an awesome & adventurous trek which includes a cavestay, outdoor cooking and valley crossing. Lots of green fields to see and ample of rain to soak!!!

Activity: Trek to Kohoj Fort, Kohoj the lesser known mysterious fort stands on the beautiful hill on the road from Manor to Wada.

The moderate hike to the top in monsoon is a fresh experience. The approx 3 hours one way hike to Kohoj fort is filled with small lakes, hills, misty surroundings and lots of rain to soakin. The two very peculiarly shaped pinnacles are the guiding lighthouse to the fort of Kohoj playing hide and seek in the monsoon clouds.

The view from the top is amazing. There are water tanks on the top.

Activity: Trek to Peth Fort, also known as Kotligad, is a major attraction of the small village Peth nearby to Karjat in its north east region. Peth is a conically shaped hill and it offers a panoramic view of the foothills. The fort is at the pinnacle of the mount and it is placed perfectly on the back drop of Matheran ranges and Western Ghats. One can view the Konkan country side from the fort and the beauty of this view is majestic.
