THE ROOF OF
THE WORLD

HOW TO GET
THERE...??
Air Travel:
Indian, Kingfisher Red and Jet Airways operate
regular services on the Delhi - Leh sector.

Road
Travel:
FROM SRINAGAR...
the main overland approach to Ladakh is from
Kashmir Valley, via the 434 km Srinagar - Leh Road, which usually
remains open for traffic from early-May to late-November. The most
dramatic part of this road journey is the ascent up the
11,500 ft / 3,505 m high Zoji-la pass in the great Himalayas,
with a night halt at Kargil.
FROM
MANALI...
the 473 km Manali - Leh road has been serving
as the second overland approach to Ladakh, usually open for traffic from
late-May to early-October, with night halts at Keylong / Jispa and/or
Serchu. This Himalayan road traverses the upland desert plateau of
Rupsho, at altitudes ranging from 3,660 m to 4,570 m. A number of high
passes fall en route, among which the highest one, known as Taglang-la
is considered the world's second highest motorable road at an altitude
of 17,469 ft / 5,235 m.

Sit back and
enjoy the ride...!!
