ON TOP OF THE WORLD

This covers the north, west, central and south eastern of Ladakh. The  journey includes visit to the beautiful Buddhist monasteries, turquoise colored lake, a rafting trip on the Indus river, drive over the highest motor able road. Here we do not only show you Ladakh, but make you feel the beautiful Himalayan destination aura, which will beckon you time and again.

Attractions: Manali – Jispa / Keylong – Serchu – Leh - Rest of Ladakh

Day 01: Delhi to Manali

Arrive in Delhi. Board Volvo for Manali in the evening. O/N VOLVO

Day 02: In Manali

Arrive in Manali by morning and check-in to a hotel. Basically a relaxing day... time for the body and mind to acclimatize to the high altitudes. This process of acclimatization is one of the most important components of any trip to the high altitudes. O/N MANALI

Day 03: Manali to Keylong / Jispa

Leave Manali early morning after breakfast. Experience the dramatic change as you cross the Rohtang pass(13050 ft.) and enter Lahual valley. After having Lunch en-route, reach Jispa / Keylong by evening. O/N JISPA / KEYLONG

Day 04: Keylong / Jispa to Serchu

Leave for Serchu, situated on the banks of River Bhaga. Reach by evening. O/N TENTS, SERCHU

Day 05: Serchu to Leh

Cross Lachulung La (16,617 ft.) and reach Pang for Lunch, En route you can capture the incredible, ever-changing, cold desert scenery. Driving along the Indus River, crossing Tanglang La (17,585 ft.) one reaches Leh. O/N LEH

Day 06: In Leh

Rest the first half of day for acclimatization. Evening an orientation tour to Leh market. O/N LEH.

Day 07: Leh - Sight-seeing

Visit Spituk monastery. Drive along the Indus, reach Stok Museum, where you could see some historical collections and meeting with the royal family. Return to hotel for lunch. Post lunch visit the market and Shanti Stupa and enjoy the scintillating view of the Leh town, and the Ladakh Range of mountains. O/N LEH.

DAY 08: Leh - Rafting - Alchi

Post breakfast, you drive towards Western Ladakh. A combination of driving and rafting trip on River Indus, the scenic rafting trip ends at Nimo. Drive straight to our camp at Ulley Tokpo. A relaxed evening. O/N ULLEY, ALCHI.

DAY 09: Alchi - Leh

Visit the secluded Rizdong monastery and drive further to visit Lamayuru monastery, en-route enjoy spectacular view of Moon-land Terrain. Drive back to Leh via Patthar Sahib Gurudwara and Magnetic hill. Evening free for shopping in Leh. O/N LEH.

Day 10: Leh - Pangong Tso - Leh

Early morning drive to Pangong lake (approx. 05 hrs) Enjoy the turquoise panoramic lake and the magnificent mountains. Afternoon drive back to Leh, O/H LEH.

Day 11: Leh - Nubra Valley

Drive to Nubra Valley, the Northern tip of Ladakh, crossing Khardhung-la at 18380ft (Considered World’s Highest Motorable Road). Enjoy the panoramic view of Zanskar and Ladakh ranges and the Karakoram further north. Drive down towards Shyok River. Evening visit the Samstanling monastery. O/N DELUXE TENTED CAMP.

Day 12: Nubra Valley - Leh

Post breakfast, visit Diskit monastery (optional Camel Safari) and drive back to Leh. O/N LEH

Day 13: Leh - Airport

Transfer to the airport and fly back to Delhi.

Terms & Conditions:

• Prices valid from 01^st January 2009 to 31^st December 2009.

• Prices valid for minimum 02, 04 & 06 pax traveling together in one vehicle.

• 100% payment to be deposited at the time of booking confirmation.

• For the Month Jan – April & October – Dec we will provide Vehicle & Rooms with Heaters.

• During Off Season Heaters will be provided for Accommodation and Vehicle without any extra charges.

• Blocking of Rooms will be hold for period of 5 days only.

• Journey can be arranged from Delhi / Chandigarh / Jammu Railway Station or Airport at Extra charges.

CANCELLATION BY ‘YOU’ AND REFUND POLICY:
Wild Escapes must receive notification of cancellation in writing. At the time we receive your written cancellation, refunds based on the total fare are as follows:
- Cancellation more than 30 days prior to departure = 50% refund
- Cancellation 15-29 days prior to departure = 25% refund
- Cancellation less than 15 days prior to departure = no refund

CANCELLATION BY ‘WILD ESCAPES’ AND REFUND POLICY:
- ‘WILD ESCAPES’ reserves the right to cancel a tour if the minimum numbers of persons as specified, do not book on the tour.
- ‘WILD ESCAPES’ reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking if we consider it necessary. In such cases, we shall refund all the money that you have paid.
- If cancellation or alteration by ‘WILD ESCAPES’ is caused by events including war or threat of war, strikes, civil strife, natural disaster, technical or political difficulties affecting air or ground transport, or events amounting to force majeure, this will naturally limit our liability. If such events occur before the departure date, we will do our best to make alternative arrangements.
